The Child Care Alliance of NYC brings together the owners and operators who make New York City’s child care system work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether you operate one program or dozens, are a for-profit business or nonprofit organization, we share many of the same challenges: rising costs, workforce shortages, complex regulations, government contracts, reimbursement delays, and policies that can fundamentally affect our ability to serve children and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the Alliance’s core purposes is to give New York City’s child care providers a consistent and effective voice in government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Membership dues help support professional government affairs and lobbying representation focused on the legislative, regulatory, funding, and contractual issues affecting our industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rather than providers advocating individually, the Alliance brings our industry together around shared priorities and works to ensure those priorities are heard by policymakers, regulators, and other decision-makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The people operating child care programs every day understand the consequences of policy decisions in ways few others can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advocating for contract structures that permit reasonable operating margins and allow providers to build reserves, reinvest in their programs, and remain financially sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working constructively with DOHMH and other regulators to modernize requirements, streamline unnecessary administrative burdens, improve educator qualification pathways, and better align City and State regulatory frameworks where appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
